Meet The Speakers
DOUGIE VIPOND
SPEAKER (SATURDAY)
Dougie Vipond is a seasoned host and television presenter, best known as the face of BBC Scotland's Landward, exploring the country's farming and rural life. He also presents The Adventure Show and has built a strong reputation across sport broadcasting on Sportscene and Reporting Scotland. His television career grew naturally from a love of sport and the outdoors, leading the BBC to commission Backcountry, a series of demanding outdoor challenges he both presented and took part in. Away from the screen, Dougie is the drummer of acclaimed Scottish rock band Deacon Blue.
ANNA GILL
SPEAKER (SATURDAY)
Anna Gill (@anna.abdn) is a mum who loves adventure, and is the founder of a thriving online community for Scottish outdoor enthusiasts. What began as a personal journal documenting her weekend walks in Aberdeenshire has evolved into a go-to hub for local adventure. Anna is passionate about inspiring others to get outdoors and explore Scotland, and will be sharing her experiences of combining family life with adventure.
MARK BONITO
SPEAKER (VAN LIFE EATS)
Mark is a passionate cook who love to cook in his beloved campervan and best loves to cook for other fellow vanlifers and show off just what is possible to cook in a tiny kitchen. Mark originates from a family line of Italian chefs from the infamous village of Minori on the Amalfi coast and his grandfather trained alongside TV chef Generao Contaldo. Catch his across the weekend on the main stage where he talks about ‘Eating his way through Italy’ and cooking up some delicious meals at his stand.
LORNA BRAY
SPEAKER (SATURDAY)
Lorna Bray (@gurl_on_the_hill) is a Scottish adventurer, storyteller and host of the Adventure Unfiltered podcast. Based in the Cairngorms, her adventures have taken her by foot, bike and canoe on adventures and expeditions across Scotland and North America. At the heart of it all is her love of wild places, big adventures and discovering what happens when we step beyond our comfort zones.
Stage Host
Claire Kinnaird is an award-winning Scottish broadcaster, MC and live event host. Best known for waking up the North East on Original 106, Claire has built a reputation for her warm, engaging style, quick wit and ability to connect with audiences both on-air and on stage. Based in Scotland, she has interviewed everyone from household-name celebrities to local heroes, covered major events across the country and hosted countless live shows, festivals, awards ceremonies and corporate events.
